Stephen was elected to serve as a councillor for the East Marsh Ward in 2003. He has a BA Hons in Politics/Sociology, a post-graduate certificate in Public Sector Modernisation and a BTEC in Mechanical Engineering.

Stephen is particularly interested in neighbourhood policing and working closely with the public to empower communities. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, walking and spending time with his two grandchildren.
